Roberto Pezzetta was born in Treviso in 1946.  
He started his Product Design activity in 1969.
He became responsible of the Zanussi  Industrial Design Center from 1982.
Roberto Pezzetta’s professional career is indissolubly tied to that of the multinational big company
he has been working for and the phases of this career have been countless and Zanussi Design
has been tied to Pezzetta’s name for more than twenty years.
Roberto Pezzetta lives and works in Pordenone and he his now Industrial Design Consultant.    
The enthusiasm for his job and the belief that the designer’s professionalism gets energy from experiences born in different fields, have always pushed him to approach different fields in the application of the Industrial Design. As a matter of fact he cooperates with many companies and shows facing themes about Industrial Design at 360°. The work experience and an innate curiosity lead him to afford themes and fields very different from his usual profession.
He is so fascinated by the world of communication, that his projects don’t stop at the technical formal solution, but push further to the research of the object that can express itself with temper, liking and a lot of irony.

"A good designer has to be part artist, part engineer, psychologist, sociologist, planner, marketing man and communicator: part everything, and part nothing!"

His creations have been exposed in exhibitions and museums in Europe and all over the world, his works have received many prizes:

. Compasso d’Oro in 1981 with the Industrial Design Zanussi;
. He had three Honour selections at the Compasso d’oro in 1998, 2001 and 2004;
. Six of his products have been mentioned in the Compasso d’Oro editions in 1987, 1989, 1991 and 2008;
. He received two gold medals at the Biennale of Design in Lubiana BIO12 and BIO19;
. He won the SAMI du Design at the Domestic Arts Show in Paris in 1990;
. He won the Goed Industrieel Ontwerp in Holland in 1987, 1991, 1999 and 2001;
. He won the Design Prestige in Brno in 1997;
. Premio De Diseño MCMXCVIII.  XVI International Exhibition L'Avana, Cuba 1998;
. Twelve «GOOD DESIGN» Awards by The Chicago Athenaeum. Chicago U.S.A. 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2009;
. KBD Award (UK) in 2003;
. IF product design award 2005;
. RED DOT design award 2005.
