Giancarlo Fabro

Giancarlo Fabro was born on 1957 in Cividale del Friuli, the ancient Forum Julii, where Roman and Lombard memories infused him with passion for archaeology and figurative arts. He had an artistic education first at the Art Institute of Udine and then at the Architectural IUAV of Venice. In 1983 he started his collaboration with Snaidero as an industrial designer. During these years he collaborated to numerous projects with architects Angelo Mangiarotti and Giovanni Offredi and the art director Michele Sbrogliò.
In 1988 he was called up to join a new venture with Giomo, a kitchens manufacturer based in Conegliano, where he grew his knowledge and experiences. Together with Luciano Bertoncini and Studio Phoem, he also developed a new interest for design communications and accomplished photographic and graphic productions, branding campaigns and internal trade shows in Milan and Paris.
In 1999 he started his collaboration with GD Cucine where he has been further developing his professional approach and style towards research and kitchen design. He was Director of Design until 2010.
